Lucky Driver Escapes Sinkhole Plunge
CCTV footage has emerged showing two men making a lucky escape from their vehicle after it balanced on the edge of a sinkhole.
The incident occurred in China, and the footage shows the men escaping from their car just minutes before it plunged into the hole which opened up in a busy road in Jinjiang City in the eastern Fujian province.
The 13ft-wide crater was caused by the collapse of sands beneath the surface of the road a half hour before it became noticeable.
It finally caved in when a truck went over the tarmac, hitting a weak spot and causing the road to open up.
